In late January (2005), it was observed that the Knox Flying Field's grass surface was badly in need of water.

It was watered by Nature at her most capricious ! ! !
("Nature", by it's very nature, is obviously Feminine!)

during the BFMA Nationals.

The purpose is many-fold: To preserve the "History" of Stunt flying -
The events and the people who were instrumental in making the hobby what it is today, be that for good or bad.
To preserve a record of Competitions - A "database" of the entrants, the winners, the place getters, the also-rans -
Those past events that gave meaning to people's lives, and continue to give meaning to people's memories.
To be a source of "Stunt" information ("Aerobatics" if you must be politically correct) -
The Flyers - The Models - The Clubs - The Competitions and Results.
As many of these records relate to events of 40 and more years ago, there are gaps in the the information which can now be retrieved. It is hoped that you, the reader, will pass on your knowledge and your memories.  If you can add to these records, or correct any errors, or share some humorous anecdote, please use the Email link in the navigation bar above. Photos will, by arrangement, be returned by following day's mail if a scanned image is not available.
This site will be constantly changing and up-dated - As historical information and today's activities and results come to hand, they will be added as soon as possible.
Disclaimer: While every effort has been made to ensure the authenticity and correctness of the contents herein, no responsibility will be accepted for errors, omissions, or otherwise non-factual information. (Must keep the lawyers happy!)
Credit: Many of the photographs (original, not scanned from magazines) are sourced from Ken Dowell's (old) collection, while most of the recent Nationals photos are sourced from Doug Grinham, Brian Gardiner and Ken Donelly. Thanks to them and anyone else not specifically named. Special thanks are due to Doug Harlow for the many items of real history borrowed from his photo albums and colour slides, and to Herb Hanna for the start of the N.S.W. Section.
